Lifetime Movie....LOL Awsome

I just watched a lifetime movie called "She's too young" and it was really hilarious! It is about a 14 year old girl who has sex to be popular, and then she---and most of the school--gets infected with spyhillis.
What makes it so frikin hilarious is that some of the scenes are so unrealistic. Like for example, when all of the students who might have the syphillis are lined up in the hallway--yeah right! Haha like they wouldn't be open for a lawsuit from the parents for doing it in an un-private way like that.
And the cheesy dialogue: Lines like "Everybody does it. Don't you want to be popular?" :-)
The funniest was probably the evil music playing with the guy most responsible for spreading it around started watching porn in the beginning. It was like "oohh he's watching porn...he's gonna be a bad guy!" LOL

This definitely doesn't completely fall into the category of propoganda/scare tactic films--too much of it was factual, and it wasn't 100 percent over-the-top. But it was kinda close, and funny.

Assassin of Youth

This is pretty much a clone of Reefer Madness, and hasn't reached the same cult status. But it has its funny moments. Its another anti-marijauna movie, in this one the main character Joan will inherit her grandmother's money on the condition of "ongoing moral behavior" and so her cousin and pot-dealing husband try to currupt her. The best part was when the little sister smokes a joint and goes insane.

**Reefer Madness**

This is the classic one that gained the most popularity. Originally called "Tell Your Children," this hilarious movie was about the downfall of two normal teenagers, William and Mary, after they get involved with Jack and Mae, the evil reefer dealers who currupt young people. It leads to promiscuity, bad dancing, rape, murder, suicide, and insanity.

The Purpose of this Blog

This blog is going to be about one of my favorite genres of movies: exploitation scare films from the 1930's. These movies, although mostly about marijauna, attempt to scare people away from a variety of different vices. The most well known one is "Reefer Madness" from 1936, however there are many more of them. I'm going to watch and review these movies, and also look for anything similiar in today's culture. I'm curious, is there anything so hilarious and ridiculous out there today, that people decades later will enjoy watching them they way I enjoy watching these movies?
